Pulau Kecamatan Masalembu, Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur,   hanya 4 desa dengan total luas wilayah sekitar 40, 85 km persegi yang dikelilingi laut yang ada di timur daya pulau kabupaten Sumenep

Kini nampaknya perlahan mulai menyempit dengan tidak adanya kesadaran masyarakat, maraknya penambangan pasir mengakibatkan terjadinya abrasi yang  luar biasa hingga kini sampai air laut terkikis sampai jalan umun.

Hal itu dikeluhkan salah satu  pencinta lingkungan Naufal warga Desa Sukajeruk, Kecamatan Masalembu, penambangan pasir yang terjadi di desa sukajeruk, kampung labu sadak itu, karena kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam penambangan pasir tersebut. Hingga terjadi abrasi yang luar biasa

“Ini harus ada perhatian serius, jadi lokasi itu harus di tanam MANGROFE ( tumbuhan laut ) biar abrasinya agak mengurang,” Katanya minggu 20/08/2017.

Menurut Naufal, memang harus bisa menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat terkait penambangan pasir yg di duga telah dilakukan dengan sewenang – wenang oleh oknum yang tidak bertanggungjawab. ” seharusnya kalau mau  melakukan penambangan, ikut mekanisme. Jangan sewenang-wenang,” ungkapnya.

Hal itu dari Hasil investigasi yang berhasil dihimpun Transmadura.com. sejak pada masa Camat ( mansur ) dulu, izin penambangan pasir itu tidak boleh lebih berjarak sekitar 100 miter dari bibir pantai, tapi kini penambangan pasir yg terjadi di duga tidak sampai pada area 100 miter dari bibir pantai.

Terpisah Kapolsek Masalembu saat dihubungi melalui telefon selulernya saat mau dikonfirmasi terkait adanya penambangan ilegal itu, tidak mengankat walau kedengaran aktif. ( hasan/ red)
