Menurutnya, lahan di sana memungkinkan untuk ditanam jagung karena tanahnya rata dan datar.
“Di sini akan disiapkan kurang lebih 1 hektar untuk penanaman jagung, dan saat ini sedang melaksanakan olah lahan dengan rotari,” ujarnya.
Untuk sistem pengairan lahan, Serda Trio mengatakan pihaknya tengah mengerjakan irigasi dengan memompa air dari sungai untuk menggemburkan lahan.
“Saat ini lagi musim kemarau, jadi tanahnya masih keras, harus di airi dulu biar gembur tanahnya,” jelas Serda Trio.
Pihaknya mengatakan, penanaman jagung nantinya menggunakan bibit jenis Pertiwi 6 untuk kualitas batang, buah dan daunnya.
“Kita mulai tanam jagung kurang lebih satu minggu usai di olah lahan, jadi diberi pupuk organik dulu, baru lahan siap tanam, ya kurang lebih satu minggu,” pungkasnya.
