Peninjauan bersama anggota dewan komisi-IV Kab. Sumenep Hasnawi, dan pemilik ternak H. Helmi didampingi Danramil 0827/08 Ganding Kapten Cpl Harry Prastowo dan Babinsa di wilayah Kecamatan Lenteng, Kecamatan Ganding dan Kecamatan Kalianget. Jum’at (5/5/2023).
Pertama Dandim berkunjung ke peternakan sapi milik H. Helmi di Desa Lenteng Timur, Kecamatan Lenteng.
Disana pihaknya meninjau perkembangan sapi dengan pola pakan silase. Selain itu, meninjau pengolahan pemanfaatan kotoran sapi untuk pupuk organik.
Dandim Lektol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi, S.E.,M.Si mengatakan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap sapi yang menggunakan pakan silase.
“Kita liat sendiri, sapi disini gemuk-gemuk artinya memang silase jagung kualitasnya bagus serta tahan lama jadi sangat cocok untuk ternak, kotorannya pun bisa digunakan pupuk di lahan jagung,” ungkapnya.
Selanjutnya, Dandim meninjau perkembangan jagung di Desa Bataal Timur, Kecamatan Ganding di lahan milik Kis Hariyanto usia tanam 80 hari seluas lahan 2 Ha.
Pihaknya mengapresiasi pekembangan jagung untuk silase dikarenakan sesuai target yaitu batang, daun dan buahnya maksimal. Bahkan pemasaranya lebih baik dari pada pipil.
“Dengan jagung yang sama saya yakin lebih untung silase, karena panen lebih cepat, lebih murah panennya dan harganya pun lumayan,” ujar Dandim Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi.
Berkaitan pola tanam jagung silase, Dandim berharap masyarakat setempat, bisa memanfaatkan potensi lahan seperti di Ganding ini bisa dikembangkan untuk jagung silase.
“Kita bisa liat dengan pola tanam yang kita pakai sekarang hasilnya maksimal, karena di Sumenep sendiri mempunyai tradisi tanam jagung yang kuat, selain bibitnya bagus, kita juga terapkan pola tanam yang baik” tandasnya.
Sementara, Hasnawi Anggota dewan Komisi IV Kab. Sumenep mengapresiasi kinerja Dandim Sumenep untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di Sumenep.
“Tujuan Dandim Sumenep ini untuk mensejahterakan petani, jadi harapannya para petani di Sumenep rubah mindset, ikut bergabung tanam jagung, kita dengar Dandim tadi usia tanam nya pendek, hasilnya pun maksimal, jadi bisa meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat disini,” ungkapnya.
Pada kesempatan itu juga Letkol Donny bersama H. Hasnawo lanjut meninjau pabrik silase di Kertasada Kalianget untuk melihat prosesnya hingga pengemasannya.
