PAMEKASAN, (TransMadura.con) – Kepala Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Pamekasan, Madura, Jawa Timur, Budi Asyari, mengaku pesimis tentang program pamekasan sebagai kabupaten literasi di tahun 2022 mendatang.
Pasalnya, masayarakat kota gerbang salam ini, budaya baca masih sangat rendah.
“Terlalu dini kalau kita mau bicara soal kabupaten literasi. Kami sendiri masih pesimis,” terang Budi.
Sedangkan parameter sebagai alat ukur kabupaten literasi dari Perpustakaan Nasional dan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) RI tergolong tinggi.
“Sampai hari ini tidak ada kabupaten literasi di indonesia, apalagi pencanangan kabupaten literasi,” tuturnya
Dia menyampaikan, Kabupaten Pamekasan saat ini justru masih dalam tahapan gerbang literasi, mengingat dari tahun ke tahun tingkat minat baca justru belum mengalami perkembangan.
Menurutnya, indeks gemar membaca di Jawa Timur masih berada di angka 8,2 berdasarkan buku edaran yang dikeluarkan oleh Kemendikbud. Sejauh ini pihaknya sedang menyusun indeks literasi di Kabupaten Pamekasan dengan memasukkan pesantren sebagai salah satu elemen.
“Cuma berdasarkan intruksi dari Bupati, kita diperintahkan untuk membuat blueprint tentang pamekasan sebagai kabupaten literasi 2022,” tutupnya.
