Perolehan suara cukup tinggi tentu bukan seperti membalikkan telapak tangan. Sebab, alumnus pesantren ini sudah cukup lama berbaur dengan masyarakat. Kiprahnya yang cukup menonjol ini dilakukan saat menjabat ketua GOW (Gabungan Organisasi Wanita) Sumenep.
Wanita dengan hobi memasak dan main Badminton ini selalu turun ke masyarakat, berbaur dan berbagi. Sehingga, kepedulian itu membekas di masyarakat. Apalagi, kedatangannya selalu dielukan masyarakat. Tampaknya, dia akan menjadi wanita “politik” yang dibanggakan konstituennya.
“Alhamdulillah, terima kasih telah memberikan kepercayaan kepada kami untuk menjadi caleg terpilih DPRD Sumenep. Ini sebuah amanah dan tanggungjawab yang harus dipelihara, ” kata Nia Kurnia.
