Dandim 0827 Yang di Wakili Oleh Danramil 09/ Pragaan Kapten Inf. Ahmad muher. Kapolsek pragaan Iptu A. Supriyadi, SH besrta Camat se kabupaten Sumenep.
Hal ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan budaya lokal dan mengundang wisatawan dalam negeri maupun luar negeri yang dihadiri kurang lebih 1000 orang pengunjung.
Kepala Dinas Perikanan dan Kelautan Bidang Tangkap Provinsi Jatim, Ir. M. Gunawan sholeh, MM, menyampaikan, terima kasih kepada pemkab sumenep yang telah melaksanakan acara ini dengan sukses.
Dengan terselengaranya acara ini, Sumenep semoga kedepannya tambah jaya untuk mengharumkan provinsi jawa timur, baik dari segi dinas kelautan maupun dinas pariwisata.

Bupati Sumenep, Dr. A. Busyro karim, M. Si, mengatakan, kepada para nelayan agar diberikan keselamatan jangan lupa selalu berdoa kepada Allah SWT dan hasil tangkapan ikan bisa maksimal.
“Acara ini jangan diartikan dengan sesajen, karena sesajen merupakan tradisi di luar Islam. Acara ini hanya simbol atau adat tradisi lokal agar para nelayan mempunyai waktu istirahat dan ada waktu untuk berkumpul dengan keluarga,” ungkapnya.
