SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Dandim 0827/Sumenep yang diwakili Kasdim Mayor Cba Ari Pamungkas menghadiri Festival Jeren Serek yang di gelar oleh Pemkab Sumenep.

Selanjutnya, kuda itu melakukan pawai yang dimulai dari Lapangan Giling dan finish depan Labang Mesem Keraton Sumenep dengan diiringi musik tradisional saronen. Kegiatan itu dibuka langsung oleh Wakil Bupati Sumenep Hj. Dewi Khalifah.
Kasdim 0827/Sumenep Mayor Cba Ari Pamungkas mengatakan Festival Jeren Serek itu merupakan tradisi yang perlu di lestarikan.
“Festival ini tidak hanya sebagai hiburan, melainkan melestarikan dan menjaga kesenian tradisional agar tidak dilupakan,” ujarnya. Minggu (19/5/2024).
Pihaknya mengatakan, Festival Jeren Serek ini diikuti oleh ratusan kuda dari berbagai Kecamatan di Kabupaten Sumenep.
Kasdim Mayor Ari juga memberi apresiasi kepada para pemilik kuda yang telah menunjukkan dedikasinya untuk melestarikan Jeren Serek dengan melatih kudanya menari mengikuti alunan musik.
“Diharapkan, festival Jeren Serek ini memberikan edukasi pembelajaran beberapa kesenian budaya kepada seluruh masyarakat Sumenep khususnya generasi penerus untuk mencintai budaya yang ada di Kabupaten Sumenep,” harapnya.
