SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Upaya menggenjot Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) di sektor pajak terus dilakukan BPPKAD (Badan Pendapatan Pengelolaan Keuangan Aset Daerah) Kabupaten Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur. Salah satu upaya adalah menggandeng pihak desa.
“Ya, kami menggandeng pihak desa untuk ikut mensosialisasikan pembayaran pajak PBB P2 itu,” kata Kepala Bidang Pengelolaan Pendapatan BPPKAD Sumenep Urip Mardani.
Bahkan, sambung dia, pihaknya juga meminta pihak desa untuk memberikan kesadaran dalam menagih PBB P2 itu. Sehingga, masyarakat secara sadar melakukan pembayaran. “Jadi, desa bisa langsung face to face antara perangkat desa dengan warganya dalam pembayaran PBB itu,” ujarnya.
Menurut dia, pajak merupakan kewajiban yang harus dibayarkan. Apalagi, merupakan amanah dari Undang-undang. “Ini kewajiban masyarakat dalam membayar pajak. Jadi, harus pro aktif membayarnya. Jangan sampai mengabaikan,” tuturnya.
Sebab, menurut Urip, PBB P2 itu tidak lagi gratis sebagaimana isu yang berhembus belakangan. “Jadi, tidak ada PBB gratis. Itu hanya sebatas isu. Memang sempat ada gratis di tahun 2011 lalu, nanun setelahnya sudah tidak ada lagi yang gratis,” ajaknya.
Urip menambahkan, pihaknya masih berupaya terus maksimal dalam penagihan PBB ini. Sehingga, PAD disektor pajak juga bisa lebih maksimal. “Makanya kami lakukan door to door melalui perangkat desa,” tutupnya.
