SUMENEP, (TransMadura.com) – Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur, merupakan rumah sakit satu-satunya milik Pemerintah Kabupaten Sumenep dan terletak di Jl. Dr. Cipto No. 42 Desa Kolor, Kecamatan Kota Sumenep.
Rumah Sakit ini mempunyai kategori kelas C dengan jumlah tempat tidur (TT) sebanyak 163 dan karyawan sebayak 429 orang. RSUD Dr.H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep memberikan pelayanan kesehatan rawat jalan, rawat inap, penunjang medis, dan penunjang non medis.
Berdasarkan keterangan singkat di website rsudma.sumenepkab.go.id yang merupakan situs resmi milik RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep ini mengulas, sebelum tahun 1973, Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep menyatu dengan Dinas Kesehatan Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep, kala itu dinamakan Kantor Malaria, kantornya berada di Jl. Dr. Soetomo, Desa Pajagalan, Kecamatan Kota, Sumenep, dan dipimpin oleh Dr. A. Husada.
Nah, sejak tahun 1973 melalui keputusan Bupati Sumenep, Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah di Sumenep ini kemudian dipisahkan dari Dinas Kesehatan. Tujuan didirikankannya Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep untuk memberikan pelayanan kesehatan rujukan dari seluruh sarana pelayanan kesehatan yang ada di Kabupaten Sumenep.
Kemudian, pada tahun 1980 dimulai pembangunan fisik gedung baru Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep yang terletak di Jl. Dr. Cipto No. 42 Desa Kolor, Kecamatan Kota Sumenep (di lokasi sekarang), tepat setahun kemudian, pada tahun 1981 Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep diresmikan oleh Menteri Kesehatan dan Keluarga Berencana Republik Indonesia yaitu Bapak DR. Suwardjono Suryaningrat.
Pada tahun 2005 terjadi perubahan nama Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Sumenep menjadi Rumah Sakit Daerah dr. H. Moh. Anwar Kabupaten Sumenep melalui Peraturan Daerah (Perda). Nama Dr. H. Moh. Anwar mengambil nama dokter putra daerah yang pertama kali mendharmabaktikan profesinya sebagai dokter di Kabupaten Sumenep.
Kemudian, pada tahun 2006 terjadi perubahan nama rumah sakit dari Rumah Sakit Daerah Dr. H. Moh. Anwar Kabupaten Sumenep menjadi Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. H. Moh. Anwar Kabupaten Sumenep melalui Peraturan Daerah Nomor 4 Tahun 2006 tentang Pembentukan Organisasi Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. H. Moh. Anwar Kabupaten Sumenep.
Adapun nama-nama kepala / direktur yang pernah menjabat di Rumah Sakit Daerah Dr.H. Moh. Anwar Kabupaten Sumenep adalah sebagai berikut :

Hingga hari ini, terdapat sederet prestasi yang telah ditorehkan rumah sakit pelat merah ini, salah satu testimoninya, RSUD sumenep melalui Puspa Sepote diundang dan diberi kesempatan untuk melakukan presentasi diantara 45 Finalis Kompetisi Inovasi Pelayanan Publik Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2019, (KOVABLlKJATIM 2019).
Bagi RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep ini adalah kali kedua setelah pada tahun 2016 melalui PUSPA RS RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan TOP 12 Inovasi yang penyerahan penghargaannya diserahkan langsung oleh Gubernur.
RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep terus berinovasi menciptakan sejumlah terobosan guna memberikan pelayanan terbaik untuk masyarakat ujung timur pulau Madura, utamanya di masa pandemi Covid-19 misalnya.
Diantarnya menghadirkan unit layanan kemoterapi bagi penderita kanker dan Computed Tomography Scan atau CT scan. Hal itu dilakukan untuk memenuhi tingginya permintaan masyarakat.
Dengan hadirnya unit layanan kemoterapi bagi penderita kanker, warga ujung timur pulau madura tidak perlu lagi bolak balik ke Surabaya untuk menjalani program tersebut.
“Kita punya dokter spesialis kemoterapi atau spesialis bedah konsultan onkologi, dokternya adalah dr. Husnul Ghaib, Sp.B(K)Onk, sehingga pelayanan kemoterapi alhamdulillah bisa memberikan pelayanan di RSUD Sumenep,” kata Direktur RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep, dr. Erliyati melalui Kasi Informasi Arman Endika P, beberapa waktu lalu.
Saat ini, pihak RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar sedang melakukan upaya kerjasama dengan pihak BPJS. Pihaknya berkomitmen untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik bagi penderita penyakit kanker.
Bahkan, yang teranyar di masa berjuang melawan Covid-19, Rumah sakit pelat merah ujung timur pulau garam ini kembali meraih penghargaan K3 di tingkat nasional untuk kategori Zero Accident (kecelakaan nihil) dan Program Penanggulangan HIV-AIDS (P2HIV-ADIS).
Meski pelaksanaannya sempat tertunda karena Pandemi Covid-19, penganugerahan K3 tahun 2020 akhirnya dilaksanakan 10 Oktober 2020 lalu, melalui siaran daring dari Gedung Serbaguna Kemnaker RI.
