Puluhan ikan paus terdampar di tepi pantai Kabupaten Bangkalan, Jawa Timur. Tepatnya di Desa Pangpajung, Kecamatan Modung, Kabupaten Bangkalan, Madura, Jumat (19/2/2021).
Namun, Ikan paus tersebut, terdampar di tepi pantai banyak tidak bisa kembali lagi ke tengah laut.
Hal itu disampaikan Kanit Reskrim Polsek Modung, Bripka Poundra Kinan A, bahwa puluhan ikan paus itu terdampar sejak Kamis (18/2/2021).
“Puluhan ikan paus terdampar di tepi pantai. Paus-paus tersebut banyak yang tak bisa kembali lagi ke laut,” kata Kanit Reskrim Modung.
Menurutnya, kemarin, puluhan paus itu, masih banyak yang hidup dan sempat didorong oleh nelayan setempat ke tengah laut.
Namun, waktu malam hari, puluhan paus ini kembali lagi ke tepi pantai Pangpajung.
Sehingga, jelas Bripka Poundra, penyebab puluhan paus ini tidak bisa berenang lagi ke tengah laut karena air laut sedang surut.
Namun, hingga siang ini sudah sekitar 10 paus yang sudah mati.
“Kemarin ada sekitar 50 paus yang mau menepi ke bibir pantai Pangpajung waktu malam harinya,” ungkapnya.
Akan tetapi, puluhan ikan paus itu, sampai siang tadi banyak mati terdampar.
Pihaknya menjelaskan, Pemerintah Desa setempat, sedang menunggu kedatangan Dinas Perikanan Provinsi Jatim untuk melakukan evakuasi terhadap puluhan paus yang terdampar tersebut.
