Badan Pengelolaan Pendapatan, Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (BPPKAD) Sumenep, akan lebih giat lagi dalam penagihan Pajak Bumi Bangunan (PBB) tahun 2017.
Hal itu di sampaikan Kepala Badan Pengelolaan, Pendapatan, Keuangan, dan Aset Daerah (BPPKAD) Sumenep, Didik Untung Syamsidi mengatakan, sampai saat ini PBB tahun 2016 baru tertagih dari wajib pajak sebesar Rp1,9 miliar atau setara 22,8 persen dari target awal sebesar Rp6,4 miliar.
Menurutnya, tunggakan itu terbesar di semua kecamatan, namun terbesar didaerah kepulauan, sementara di daratan rata-rata pembayaran mecapai diatas 5 persen. “Kecamatan Nunggunong, Pulau Sapudi hingga saat ini masih nol persen,” katanya, Senin (13/3/2017).
Menurut Didik, kedepan dirinya bersama tim akan terus melakukan penagihan kepada wajib pajak. Penagihan itu akan dilakukan melalui kepala desa. “Akan terus ditagih, karena itu merupakan hutang wajib pajak,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu, Ketua Komisi II DPRD Sumenep, AF Hari Ponto mengatakan, menilai rendahnya pembayaran wajib pajak itu disebabkan karena kurangnya sosialisasi. Sebab, diakui atau tidak masyarakat enggan membayar pajak lantaran terkoptasi janji politik yang mengatakan PBB digratiskan. “Sangat disayangkan jika sampai saat ini baru 22 persen. Itu sangat kecil,” katanya.
Menurutnya, pajak merupakan kewajiban setiap wajib pajak. Karena itu merupakan amanah Undang-Undang (UU) Nomor 28 tahun 2009 Tentang pajak daerah dan retribusi daerah.
Adapun jenis pajak yang berdasakan UU tersebut dibagi mejadi sebelas item, yakni Pajak Hotel, Pajak Restoran, Pajak Hiburan, Pajak Reklame, Pajak Penerangan Jalan, Pajak Mineral bukan Logam dan Batuan, Pajak Parkir, Pajak Air Tanah, Pajak Sarang Burung Walet, Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan Perdesaan dan Perkotaan, dan Pajak Bea Perolehan Hak atas Tanah dan Bangunan.
Oleh sebab itu, pihaknya mengimbau instansi terkait untuk terua proaktif melakukan penagihan. Sehingga, tahun ini Sumenep tidak lagi dibebani hutang perpajakan.
