SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) -Pemerintah Kabupaten Sumenep, melalui Dinas Kebudayaan Daerah Pemuda Olahraga dan Pariwisata (Disbudporapar) menggelar Festival Layangan LED.
Pagelaran ini dilaksanakan di wisata Pantai Lombang, Kecamatan Batang – batang, Rabu (26/04/2023) malam.
Acara tersebut baru kali ini dilaksanakan diserbu ribuan pengunjung yang diikuti puluhan layangan yang dihias warna warni.
Tak heran jika para pengunjung begitu antusias dan betah di pantai wisata lombang melihat langit beraneka lampu hias layang layang LED yang begitu memukau.
“Festival Layangan LED ini merupakan kegiatan berbasis budaya, mengingat layangan adalah salah satu budaya yang masih menarik dan diminati masyarakat,” kata Bupati Sumenep Achmad Fauzi di sela-sela pembukaan Festival Layangan LED, Rabu (26/04/2023).
Menurutnya, dalam era teknologi saat ini, perlu diadakan kegiatan bernuansa budaya lokal, sebagai langkah nyata, karena kaum melenial menyukai permainan digital seperti game online.
“Permainan modern yang mulai menggempur generasi muda, harus diadakan kegiatan budaya lokal salah satunya permainan layangan ini,” terang Bupati.
Selain itu juga, pelestarian budaya, pihaknya menyampaikan, melalui festival layangan LED, sebagai media promosi wisata Pantai Lombang termasuk objek wisata lainnya, di Kabupaten Sumenep kepada masyarakat luar daerah.
“Festival ini, bagian penunjang potensi pariwisata daerah untuk menarik kunjungan wisatawan, setelah wabah Covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia dan dunia dua tahun terakhir,” tandasnya.
Sementara Panitia Penyelenggara Festival Layangan LED, Mujib menambahkan, peserta layangan LED 2023 sebanyak 67 layangan, dengan berbagai macam bentuk.
“Peserta di antaranya berasal dari masyarakat umum, Desa dan Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD),” tutupnya.
