KM. Motor Mutiara Sentosa 1 yang terbakar diperairan pulau masalembu, Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur, jum’at 19 Mei 2017 sore kemarin.
Komite Nasional Kecelakaan Transportasi (KNKT) menunda untuk investigasi yang direncakan selasa 23 mei 2017 sesuai rencana, untuk mengungkap terjadinya kebakaran kapal milik PT. Antosium Lampung Pelayaran (ALP).
“Tim dari KNKT sudah tiba di perairan Masalembu. Namun gagal memulai investigasi,” kata Kasubag Humas Polres Sumenep, AKP Suwardi, Selasa, 23 Mei 2017.
Menurutnya,saat itu tim KNKT sempat menaiki bankai kapal, pada saat itu pintu kapal dalam keadaan terkunci dan masih meneluarkan asap hitam dari dalam kapal yang dikandaskan 5 mil dari pulau masalembu tersebut. “Karena takut membahayakan maka rencana investigasi tidak dilanjutkan,” jelasnya.
Ia menjelaskan, bahwa tim KNKT tiba di bangkai kapal sekitar pukul 11.00 WIB.
Berdasarkan informasi, rombongan Tim KNKT yang telah landing di kepulauan masalembu, hari ini sekitar pukul 09.20 wib tepatnya di lapangan terbang PT. ELNUSA Dusun Ambulung, Desa Sukajeruk, Kepulauan Masalembu. Selanjutnya langsung menuju pelabuhan PT. ELNUSA menggunakan perahu nelayan.
“Kita menggunakan perahu nelayan dan kapal spid milik Syahbandar menuju titik terbakarnya KM. mutiara sentosa 1,” tandasnya. ( Asm/hy)
