Transmadura.com, Sumenep – Hama tanaman padi merupakan kendala bagi petani untuk bisa meningkatkan produksi usaha pertaniannya, bahkan serangan hama tertentu seperti wereng, keong, Tikus dan orong-orong bisa mengakibatkan puso atau gagal panen, maka dalam kesempatan ini Bintara Pembina Desa (Babinsa) Pragaan Koramil 0827/09 Pargaan bersama anggota Kelompok Tani melaksanakan pengecekan terhadap hama yang menyerang tanaman padi seluas 1,3 hektare yang terletak di Desa Pragaan Kecamatan Pragaan Kabupaten Sumenep Selasa (9/05/2017).
Pengecekan dilaksanakan dalam rangka membantu para petani dalam merawat tanaman padi dan meningkatkan hasil produksi para petani sekaligus sebagai antisipasi berkembangnya hama yang dapat merusak tanaman padi sehingga nantinya hasil panen dapat maksimal.
Danramil 0827/09 Pragaan Kapten Inf A. Muher mengatakan Babinsa bersama PPL akan selalu siap membantu para petani dalam memelihara tanaman padi musim kali ini, semoga dengan adanya kami dan PPL, dapat bermanfaat untuk para petani dan bisa meningkatkan hasil produktifitas, sehingga target yang diharapkan oleh para petani dan pemerintah dapat tercapai.
Kehadiran Babinsa dan PPL ke sawah saat bertujuan agar kita bisa sedini mungkin mengetahui gejala serangan hama dan sedini mungkin mengambil tindakan pencegahan atau pengendalian sehingga petani tidak mengalami gagal panen. Sekarang ini sudah banyak hama yang sudah tidak mempan lagi disemprot dengan insektisida yang murah, akhirnya para petanilah yang terkena dampak negatifnya, selain memerlukan biaya usaha tani yang lebih besar juga produktivitas padi menjadi turun. ‘’kata Serda Bonandi Babinsa Pragaan.
