SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Kelompok tani di Desa Batu Putih Laok, Kecamatan Batu Putih mengoptimalkan penggunaan pupuk organik dan kimia untuk budi daya tanaman jagung guna mendapatkan produktivitas panen yang tinggi.
Pemupukan didampingi langsung Babinsa Koramil 0827/15 Batu Putih Serda Winarno.
“Untuk pupuk sebagian menggunakan organik yang dikombinasi dengan urea, namun pas waktu tanam penggunaan pupuk organiknya lebih banyak,” kata Serda Winarno. Senin (18/12/2023).
Dia mengatakan penggunaan pupuk urea pada tanaman jagung dilakukan perawatan saat ini pada usia tanama 15 hari, dan itupun dikombinasikan dengan pupuk sejenisnya dan sebagian menggunakan organik.
“Pemupukan awal yang kami lakukan sesuai dengan takaran di lahan seluas 0,5 hektar,” jelasnya.
Serda Winarno mengatakan saat musim tanam jagung mulai dari tanam sampai panen butuh tiga kali pemupukan yang setiap setengah hektare penggunaan pupuk urea sebanyak 25 kilogram, kemudian pupuk ponska 10 kilogram, dan sisanya organik.
“Kalau penggunaan organik pas awal tanam bisa mencapai 1,5 kwintal per setengah hektare lahan, selama ini anggota kelompok tani tidak sulit mendapatkan pupuk organik, karena bisa langsung ambil (kompos) dari kandang ternak,” katanya.
Dirinya berharap setelah di pupuk nantinya pertumbuhan jagung hingga panen bisa maksimal.
Sementara Sirajudin (48) pemilik lahan turut mengapresiasi atas kinerja TNI dalam membantu pemupukan jagung miliknya.
