SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Sudah kesekian kalinya Babinsa Koramil 0827/05 Lenteng panen jagung untuk kebutuhan silase.
Kali ini berlokasi di Dusun Nangger, Desa Jambu, Kecamatan Lenteng, Sumenep Babinsa Koptu Agus Roni membantu panen jagung di lahan milik bapak Muhlis.
Ini menandakan meskipun di musim kemarau produksi jagung masih melimpah dan mencukupi pendapatan petani.
“Panen jagung di Desa Jambu ini sudah kedua kalinya artinya petani disini sudah nyaman menanam jagung, dan hasilnya cukup memuaskan untuk mendongkrak pendapatan dan keuntungan petani,” ujar Koptu Agus Roni saat di konfirmasi Media Center Kodim 0827/Sumenep. Senin (9/10/2023).
Menurutnya, untuk kebutuhan silase, tanaman jagung dipanen saat tongkolnya masih muda, sekitar umur 80-85 hari setelah tanam, dan semua bagian tanaman, mulai dari batang, tongkol, hingga daun, dipanen.
“Jadi tidak ada yang terbuang, nantinya jagung akan di kirim ke pabrik di Kertasada, Kalianget untuk di olah,” ucapnya.
Koptu Agus Roni mengatakan di lahan milik bapak Muhlis tercatat panen jagung kurang lebih seluas 0,3 hektare, dan mencapai 4 ton.
Hasil panen sekarang masih terbilang cukup, dikarenakan musim kemarau pasokan air untuk irigasi belum maksimal.
“Kami optimis bahwa produksi jagung hingga akhir tahun bisa mencapai target yaitu 8-10 ton,” pungkasnya.
Sementara, Petani bapak Muhlis mengaku terbantu dengan adanya Babinsa yang ikut serta mensukseskan ketahan pangan.
“Bapak Babinsa ini luar biasa pak, setiap hari kesawah bersama saya, bantu saya, terima kasih pak TNI,” ujarnya.
