SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Pemanfaatan lahan tidur tengah dilakukan Kodim 0827/Sumenep di wilayah Kecamatan Ganding, Kabupaten Sumenep.
Penanaman jagung sendiri dilakukan personel TNI dan masyarakat secara bergotong royong dalam rangka ketahanan pangan.
Hadir di lokasi Dandim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Inf Donny Pramudya Mahardi, S. E., Bupati Sumenep diwakili Asisten Perekonomian Setda Sumenep Ahmad Masuni, Forpimka Kecamatan Ganding, Dinas pertanian Sumenep, Pasiter Kodim 0827/Sumenep Kapten Inf Galang Prayitno, Kades dan perangkat desa Gadu Barat, Ketua Gapoktan Ganding, personil Koramil 0827/08 Ganding dan para petani.
Untuk tahap awal hari ini telah dilakukan penanaman di lahan seluas 2,2 hektare. Setelah itu, akan terus dipersiapkan lahan-lahan lainnya hingga mencapai target 5 hektare di Kecamatan Ganding.
Kagiatan penanaman jagung tahap pertama berlokasi di Dusun Sumber, Desa Gadu Barat, Kecamatan Ganding, Kabupaten Sumenep. Kamis (21/7/2022) pagi.
Dandim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi, S.E. dalam sambutannya mengatakan, saat ini TNI Angkatan Darat mendapatkan instruksi untuk terjun langsung ke bidang pertanian, karena secara riil banyak negara yang telah mengunci untuk mengekspor komiditas pangan, yang mana tidak menutup kemungkinan krisis pangan terjadi di dunia.
“Dengan berdasarkan asumsi tersebut maka TNI Angkatan Darat mengambil langkah untuk bisa mandiri pangan, jadi tidak ketergantungan dengan negara lain,” ujarnya.
Lahan seluas 2,2 hektare saat ini mereka kelola untuk kegiatan produktif tanaman jagung. Mereka secara gotong royong mulai dari membersihkan lahan hingga melakukan penanaman Bersama sejumlah warga setempat.
Maka dari itu Dandim menghimbau kepada para petani apabila memiliki lahan tidur yang tidak digarap untuk koordinasi dengan Koramil terdekat.
“Kegiatan ini tidak lain tujuannya untuk ketahanan pangan, sehingga masyarakat Sumenep bisa mandiri pangan, dan yang lebih penting untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Program yang diinisiati KSAD Jenderal TNI Dudung Abdurachman ini dilaksanakan di seluruh Indonesia yang jadi program Kodim 0827/Sumenep dengan menggerakkan Koramil diwilayahnya tak terkecuali Koramil 0827/08 Ganding tersebut.
Untuk program ketahanan pangan tersebut kata Dandim, untuk menggali potensi yang ada dengan mengadakan komunikasi yang intens, selanjutnya akan dilakukan edukasi ke wilayah Kecamatan lain melalui Koramil Koramil jajarannya agar bisa memanfaatkan lahan tidur bisa dimanfaatkan untuk ditanam jagung.
“Nantinya jagung ini untuk kebutuhan masyarakat, Kodim 0827/Sumenep akan melakukan edukasi terhadap para petani agar bisa memanfaatkan lahannya ditanami jagung, Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat memberikan contoh pada petani, selain itu program ini untuk mengurangi angka pengangguran di Kabupaten Sumenep,” Imbuh Dandim.
Kegiatan ini juga disambut baik oleh warga setempat, tanpa diajak mereka langsung datang membantu anggota TNI melakukan penanaman, bagi mereka kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat, apalagi hasilnya nanti untuk kebutuhan masyarakat.
