Kekurangan tubuh manusia layaknya orang normal mungkin secara nalar tidak bisa berbuat apa apa ketimbang yang punya fisik normal. Namun apa yang dilakukan seorang Untung (51) asal Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur, tidak punya dua tangan bisa meraih penghargaan kategori unsur masyarakat peduli madrasah.
Untung kelahiran Sumenep Kecamatan Batang-Batang ini, mendapatkan penghargaan dari Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) RI, karena kegigihan tak pernah berhenti mengembangkan bakat dirinya tanpa dua tangan berprofesi sebagai guru, meraih penghargaan Madrasah Award dan Apresiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (Adiktis) 2021.
“Penghargaan ini membuat kebahagian bagi saya. Saya mendapat penghargaan ini juga waktu itu di Bandung, waktu 2019,” kata Untung usai menerima penghargaan Madrasah Award dan Apresiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (Adiktis) 2021, di Hotel Mercure, Ancol, Jakarta Utara.
Untung saat ini bekerja di dua sekolah, MI dan MTs Miftahul Ulim Sumenep, Madura. Sedangkan di MI, Untung bertugas sebagai guru wali kelas 6. Sementara untuk MTs, dia mengajar berbagai mata pelajaran, mulai dari Bahasa Arab dan Al-Quran.
Perjalanan guru tanpa dua lengan tersebut, yang tak pernah menyerah untuk menjadi yang terbaik. Karir profesi sebagai guru MI sejak 1993 yang saat itu pendidikan terakhir ijazah SMP dan lulusan pesantren.
Untuk mendapatkan gelar sarjana, Untung ini, mengikuti kejar paket C pada tahun 2000/2021. Sehingga dapat gelar gelar sarjananya di Universitas Terbuka dengan jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar.
“Saya itu ikut kejar paket C pada 2000 atau 2001, karena lulusnya 2004,” jelas Untung.
Sementara, Madrasah Award 2021 menghadirkan lima kategori yang berhak mendapat penghargaan dari Kementerian Agama. Yakni, kategori siswa berprestasi, inovasi pembelajaran/karya guru terbaik, kategori lembaga berprestasi, kategori unsur masyarakat dan special achievment pencipta Lagu Hymne dan Mars Madrasah.
Selain itu, Adiktis 2021, ada 16 kategori. Mulai dari TKI dengan Jumlah Akreditasi Program Studi A atau Unggul Terbanyak, PTKI dengan Akreditasi Institusi Unggul, PTKI dengan Program Studi Bersertifikat AUN-QA Terbanyak,
PTKI dengan Jumlah Profesor Terbanyak, PTKI dengan Jumlah Mahasiswa Asing Terbanyak, PTKIS dengan Mahasiswa Berprestasi Tingkat Internasional, PTKIN dengan Mahasiswa Berprestasi Tingkat Internasional Terbanyak, PTKI dengan Jumlah Jurnal Terakreditasi Terbanyak.
Namun juga ada PTKI dengan Pemilik Paten Terbanyak, PTKI dengan Pelaporan PD Dikti Terbaik, PTKI dengan Keterbukaan Informasi Publik Terbaik, PTKI dengan Jurnal Terindeks Scopus Terbanyak, PTKIS Pemilik Jurnal Terindeks Scopus, PTKI dengan Mahasiswa Peraih Medali Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XX Terbanyak, PTKI Sebagai Duta Unesco dan TKI Green Campus.
Dirjen Pendidikan Islam (Pendis) M Ali Ramdhani mengatakan dalam sambutannya berpesan semangat kepada peserta yang tak dapat penghargaan.
“Yang tidak dapat penghargaan bagi peserta tetap semangat dan jangan patah semangat,” pesannya.
Sehingga, dia juga meminta untuk kepada para siswa dan civitas akademika untuk terus berinovasi.
“Saat ini kita tidak hanya harus berpikir out of the box, tapi harus without the box,” tukasnya.
