SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Babinsa Koramil 0827/05 Lenteng Serka Syaiful Imam berkomitmen terus meningkatkan produksi komoditas jagung.
Hal ini dilakukan dengan masifnya Serma Syaiful mendampingi petani menyiapkan lahan kembali usai panen jagung.
Serka Syaiful mengatakan lahan di Lenteng Timur akan disiapkan kurang lebih 2 hektar untuk penanaman jagung. Untuk saat ini melakukan pembersihan rumput dan sisa batang jagung yang kering.
“Sebelumnya kita panen pipil kurang lebih 5 ton dalam satu hektarnya, ini jadi motivasi petani untuk kembali menanam,” ujarnya. Jumat (3/5/2024).
Pihaknya sebagai aparatur kewilayahan turut mendampingi petani menyiapkan lahan hingga siap tanam.
“Kami menargetkan setidaknya dalam waktu dekat lahan siap tanam,” jelas Serka Syaiful.
Pihaknya optimis bahwa target tersebut bisa terealisasikan. Sehingga misi menjadikan Lenteng sebagai salah satu lumbung jagung dapat diwujudkan.
“Kita sudah membuktikan setahun yang lalu kita berhasil panen melimpah, untuk silase dan pipil, petani disini merasakan hasilnya,” kata Serka Syaiful.
Serka Syaiful Imam juga berharap dengan masifnya penanaman jagung di Desa Lenteng Timur, suplai jagung maupun produk olahannya mampu memenuhi kebutuhan peternak dan meningkatkan ekonomi petani.
