SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Program Babinsa Petani yang di inisiasi oleh Dandim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi dibuktikan dengan kesuksesan salah satu Babinsa Koramil 0827/05 Lenteng Koptu Toyok Erfandi.
Lahan yang ia sewa dari petani di Desa Dramista, Kecamatan Lenteng, kembali di tanami jagung untuk terus meningkatkan perekonomiannya.
Kini pihaknya menanam periode kedua di tahun ini. Jagung yang ia tanam sudah berusia 14 hari dan saat ini sedang melakukan pemupukan pertama.
Sebelumnya ia sudah memanen jagung dan meraup untung hingga puluhan juta dari lahan 1 hektar.
Koptu Toyok mengatakan program Babinsa Petani adalah langkah agar pihaknya tidak hanya mendampingi petani, namun juga memberi edukasi kepada petani tentang budidaya jagung yang sesuai dengan prosedur. Tujuannya agar hasil panen bisa menguntungkan.
“Tidak hanya untuk kesejahteraan petani, program Babinsa Petani dari Dandim Sumenep ini sangat menguntungkan bagi saya pribadi, dan tentunya untuk menambah pendapatan,” ujarnya. Sabtu (9/3/2024).
Pihaknya berharap, budidaya jagung yang ia kembangkan bisa mengedukasi para petani di Lenteng, untuk bertanam jagung sesuai prosedur mulai dari penyiapan lahan dan perawatannya.
“Selain menanam sendiri, kami juga mengedukasi petani, ada salah satu petani di Lenteng Timur yang sudah sukses, ia meraup untung hingga puluhan juta, dan ini menjadi kebanggaan bagi saya,” ungkap Koptu Toyok Erfandi.
