SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Babinsa Koramil 0827/08 Ganding Serda Trio Mustofa membantu petani menanam jagung di Dusun Panggung Dejeh, Desa Bataal Timur, Kecamatan Ganding, Kabupaten Sumenep. Jum’at (1/12/2023).
Aksi sosial itu merupakan bagian dari upaya satuan Kodim 0827/Sumenep mendukung program pemerintah yakni mewujudkan swasembada pangan.
Kegiatan tersebut juga sebagai bukti kecintaan TNI kepada masyarakat.
“Ini berkah di musim hujan, dan ini sudah periode kesekian kalinya kita tanam jagung, dan hari kita bantu tanam seluas 1 hektar milik bapak Rasyid,” kata Serda Trio Mustofa.
Menurut Serda Trio, tanam jagung sangat cocok dilakukan saat musim penghujan. Hal ini dikarenakan tanaman jagung yang masih muda membutuhkan kelembaban tanah yang tinggi.
Untuk pengolahan tanah sendiri menggunakan sistem olah tanah sempurna (OTS) karena lahan tegalan.
“Kita pakai sistem OTS karena sudah memasuki musim hujan, sehingga diharapkan sistem drainase dapat berfungsi dengan baik, resiko gagal panen karena tanaman terendam air pun juga dapat dihindari,” jelasnya.
Sementara bibit yang di tanam menggunakan jenis hibrida Pertiwi 6 dengan harapan hasil batang, daun dan buah maksimal.
Upaya Serda Trio Mustofa selaku prajurit TNI di garda terdepan itu, merupakan wujud keseriusan Kodim 0827/Sumenep dalam membantu pemerintah guna mewujudkan swasembada pangan serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
Selain membantu menanam bibit jagung, prajurit TNI yang menjadi Bintara Pembina desa (Babinsa) itu juga memberi pendampingan terkait pemeliharaan tanaman jagung hingga panen.
“Diharapkan lahan jagung milik bapak Rasyid seluas 1 hektare yang sudah ditanami jagung nantinya akan mendapatkan hasil panen yang maksimal,” harapnya.
