Perdana Tanam Jagung di Paberasan Bersama Bupati, Dandim 0827/Sumenep dan Kades

SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Budidaya jagung bahan baku silase untuk pakan ternak terus dikembangkan di Kabupaten Sumenep. Kali ini budidaya diperluas dengan mencakup wilayah Desa Paberasan, Kecamatan Kota.

Penanaman perdana jagung silase di Desa Paberasan dilakukan Bupati Sumenep Achmad Fauzi, S.H.,M.H., Dandim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi, S.E.,M.Si, Kepala Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Arif Firmanto serta Kepala Desa Paberasan Rahman Saleh.

Hadir juga di lokasi Danramil 0827/01 Kota Kapten Inf Nanang Fadhori bersama Babinsa dan para petani melakukan penanaman jagung dengan menggunakan alat tradisional.

Bupati Achmad Fauzi mengaku mendukung pengembangan jagung silase di daerahnya karena dapat berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian petani.

“Tiga tahun lalu sebenarnya sudah kita dorong hanya petani masih fokus ke pertanian lain. Saat Pak Dandim datang ke Sumenep, Pak Dandim melihat potensi di Sumenep dan banyak tantangannya tapi Pak Dandim ini tidak pantang menyerah,” kata Achmad Fauzi usai menanam jagung di Desa Paberasan, Jum’at (28/4/2023).

“Jelas kita dukung karena ini tujuannya untuk kesejahteraan petani. Tapi memang kalau awal-awal itu jelas tantangannya banyak. Seperti di Lenteng itu berhasil,” imbuhnya.

Pihaknya berharap, budidaya tersebut juga dapat mencakup banyak wilayah. Termasuk palaksanaan budidayanya dapat dilakukan secara modern.

“Kedepan harus terus dikembangkan agar bisa secara modern. Silase ini bisa menjadi potensi di Sumenep dan di Sumenep ada lahannya untuk itu,” ujar Bupati.

Dandim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi menyebut, di wilayah Desa Paberasan budidaya jagung silase akan ditanam pada luas lahan 10 hektar namun dengan sistem bertahap.

“Kita lokasi tidak memilih jadi kita tawarkan dulu awalnya tidak hanya ke Desa Paberasan namun semuanya. Seluruh Sumenep ini potensi untuk tanam jagung itu ada,” terang Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi.

Untuk penanaman perdana yang dilakukan kali ini masih mencakup areal tanam seluas 2 hektar.

“Pertama hari ini kita tanam di lahan 2 hektar. Yang susah itu awal memulai nanti kalau sudah tahu polana semua akan ikut. Semoga di Paberasan juga berhasil seperti di Lenteng. Kedepan kita juga akan lakukan di Kecamatan Talango,” papar Dandim.

Selain itu, pihaknya berencana ingin mempertemukan Kades dan petani di Paberasan dengan petani daerah Lenteng dan Rubaru yang sudah berhasil.

“Nanti kita akan ketemukan petani daerah Lenteng dan Rubaru yang sudah yakin dengan program jagung tersebut, sekarang beberapa petani kita sudah berani menyewa lahan untuk mereka usaha sendiri,” ungkapnya.

Dandim juga menyebutkan pola tanam jagung yang digunakan saat ini ada 3 pola yaitu plasma, mandiri dan pola inti.

Sementara Kepala Desa Paberasan Rahman Saleh mengungkapkan, ketertarikan pihaknya membudidaya jagung silase tidak hanya upaya pengembangan pertanian, namun karena sudah ada pabrik yang akan menampung hasilnya.

“Kami pemerintah pesan tentu menyambut program ini dengan baik, karena pabrik di Sumenep sudah ada artinya sudah ada yang akan membeli. Ini sangat menjanjikan kepada petani. Karena petani itu harus ada hasil,” sebut Rahman Saleh.

Ditambahkan pada tahun 2024 pihaknya akan meluncurkan program peningkatan pertanian sehingga keberadaan budidaya jagung silase memiliki kesamaan visi.

“Tahun depan kita ada program pertanian, perkebunan berbasis peternakan jadi budidaya jagung ini nyambung dengan program kita. Pemerintah desa ikut memikirkan program pusat yaitu ketahanan pangan. Ini semua tentu untuk masyarakat,” jelasnya.

Pengembangan budidaya jagung silase di Kabupaten Sumenep tidak hanya dilakukan di Desa Paberasan, sebelumnya kegiatan yang sama juga terlaksana di wilayah Kecamatan Lenteng, Ganding dan Rubaru.
