SUMENEP, (Transmadura.com) – Komandan Kodim 0827/Sumenep Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi, S.E.,M.Si.,didampingi Danramil 0827/01 Kota Kapten Inf Nanang Fadhori beserta beberapa anggota Babinsa Koramil 01/Kota melaksanakan peninjauan penyiapan penanaman lahan jagung di Desa Paberasan Kecamatan Kota Kabupaten Sumenep, Selasa (28/03/2023).
Turut mendampingi Kepala Desa Paberasan Bapak Rahman Saleh, SE., beserta para staf Desa Paberasan dan masyarakat, total yang akan disiapkan untuk penanaman lahan jagung sekitar 8 hektar.
Pada kesempatan tersebut Dandim berkesempatan memberi gambaran sekaligus mensosialisasikan terkait ketahanan pangan jagung untuk silase kepada kades dan kelompok tani setempat.
Dandim Letkol Czi Donny Pramudya Mahardi, SE.,M.Si. menyampaikan bahwa harapan terbesar pada ketahan pangan jagung yaitu ingin mengembalikan masa kejayaan jagung dan sapi madura di Kabupaten Sumenep.
Selain itu, komoditi jagung saat ini banyak dibutuhkan khususnya untuk jagung silase dan pipil, dan untuk tananaman padi di saat musim kemarau untuk panen yg dihasilkan kurang begitu maksimal, jadi bisa dimanfaatkan untuk jagung.
“Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengembalikan tradisi nenek moyang bertanam jagung dengan mengembalikan masa kejayaan jagung dan sapi di Madura khususnya di Kabupaten Sumenep,” ujarnya.
Dandim berharap pola tanam jagung di Sumenep sama seperti di Jawa yaitu bisa dilaksanakan sepanjang tahun.
“Caranya yaitu ngebor air, jadi nanti kita mulai ajari petani gimana teknisnya, selain itu di Sumenep sendiri tanahnya sudah subur, dan secara klimatologi jagung mencari seperti di Sumenep yang cuaca panas tapi nanti ada air,” sambungnya.
Sementara, Kades Paberasan Rahman Saleh, SE., menyampaikan rasa terima kasih atas dukungan penuh Kodim 0827/Sumenep dengan adanya program desa tanam jagung ini masyarakat Desa Paberasan termasuk kelompok tani bisa menanam jagung.
Pihaknya juga mengatakan dengan adanya program desa pada 2024 nanti yaitu 3P Pertanian, Perkebunan berbasis Peternakan, dengan harapan membantu program pusat ketahanan pangan.
