SUMENEP, (TransMadura.com) – Komandan Pangkalan Utama TNI Angkatan Laut (Lantamal) V Surabaya, Laksamana Pertama (Laksma) TNI Yoos Suryono Hadi, M.Tr.(Han), melakukan kunjungan ke Kabupaten Sumenep Madura Jawa Timur, Rabu (22/9/2021).
Mereka datang dalam rangka melakukam survei pemindahan pangkalan Angkatan Laut dari Batu Porron menuju kota Sumekar.
Mantan Seklem Akademi Angkatan Laut (AAL) ini, diterima langsung oleh bupati Achmad Fauzi di rumah dinas (rumdis).
“Kami ke sini juga untuk melihat Bandara Trunojoyo,” katanya kepada awak media.
Alumnus Akademi Angkatan Laut (AAL) ke-35 tahun 1989 itu menuturkan, kedatangannya untuk melihat beberapa alternatif dalam melaksanakan tugas pokok dan fungsinya.
“Akan ada evaluasi dalam menentukan tempat yang tepat guna dalam pembangunan pangkalan tersebut.” jelas Koorsahli Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Laut itu.
Pihaknya menargetkan, pembangunan pangkalan militer AL tersebut di tahun 2022 sudah bisa dilaksanakan.
“kami akan lakukan laporan ke Mabesal (Markas Besar Angkatan Laut,red), kemudian rapat di Jakarta mudah-mudahan dengan di dukung Bapak Bupati Sumenep segera dilakukan relokasi. Karena di Batu Porron akan dijadikan sebagai gudang senjata Angkatan Laut,” terangnya.
Bupati Sumenep, Achmad Fauzi, merespon baik atas kedatangan Danlantamal TNI-AL V Surabaya tersebut. Pihaknya mendukung jika memang Lanal Batu Porron Bangkalan akan di pindah ke Sumenep.
“Kami Pemkab Sumenep tentu mendukung penuh jika Pangkalan TNI AL akan dipindah ke Sumenep,” kata Bupati Fauzi.
Sekadar diketahui, tahun 2014 silam, Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Sumenep telah melakukan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) atau penandatanganan nota kesepahaman dengan Komandan Pangkalan Utama TNI-AL V (Danlantamal) Surabaya, terkait kesiapan pemindahan pangkalan angkatan laut Lanal Batu Porron, Kamal, Bangkalan ke Kabupaten Sumenep.
Dengan kesiapan itu, Pemkab Sumenep sudah menyiapkan lahan seluas 4 hektar yang dibagi di beberapa wilayah untuk dijadikan markas Angkatan Laut di Sumenep.
