Bantua instalasi pengering Ultraviolet (UV) dari Kementerian Pertanian RI dikucurkan ke Desa Matanair, Kecamatan Rubaru, disambut baik para petani. Sebab, keberadaan alat pengering tersebut, diyakini mampu meningkatkan kualitas hasil pertanian.

“Alat pengering Ultraviolet ini diyakini mampu meningkatkan kualitas pertanian disini.” ungkapnya.
Bahkan, berdasarkan penelitian Badan Litbang Pertanian keunggulan pengering dapat menekan kerusakan bawang merah dari 20 persen menjadi 10 persen, mempertahankan kualitas warna, tekstur, dan Varible Return to Scale (VRS).
Yakni, dengan daya simpan hasil pertanian menggunakan pengeringan ini bisa lebih lama, yaitu 2 sampai 3 bulan. Dan Instalasi pengering UV dapat digunakan untuk pengeringan gabah, bawang merah dan jagung.
“Saat ini banyak anggota kelompok tani yang menyambut baik instalasi pengeringan hasil pertanian, bahkan sudah membuat jadwal antrean pemakaiannya.” tandasnya.
