Peristiwa terjadi pada pukul 9:00 wib saat mobil Kabid sarana dan Prasarana ( Sarpras) Dispertahortbun, Sumenep, jenis Isuzu Intercooler D- MAX Nomor Polisi M 8081 VP yang dikemudikan Ali Ridho ( 52 ) berstatus PNS melaju dari arah barat menuju timur,”mobil itu melaju dari arah barat menuju timur untuk menghadiri acara pertemuan kelompok di Kecamatan Dungkek,” kata Humas Polres Sumenep.
Ia menjelaskan, sesampainya di jalan raya tepatnya Desa Andulang, Kecamatan Gapura, diduga sopir mobil tersebut dalam keadaan mengantuk. Sehingga langsung banting stir kekanan menabrak pohon kelapa.
